About ME

I’m Alondra Matamoros, a full-spectrum birth and postpartum doula rooted in the sacred cultural traditions of my Salvadoran and Dominican heritage. My mission is to offer holistic support for the mind, body, and spirit, guiding families through life’s transformative phases with compassion, presence, and intuitive care.

As someone deeply connected to my roots, I weave ancestral wisdom into every moment of my practice, helping clients honor their unique journeys and transitions. Whether it’s navigating birth, postpartum, or parenthood, I provide nurturing support that acknowledges the whole person—the emotional, physical, and spiritual self—through each shift.

It is my honor to hold space for those in their most vulnerable and empowering moments, and I am deeply committed to supporting families as they transition with ease, grace, and empowerment.

I began my journey into doula work in 2020. As I was learning about birth and stepping into this calling, my grandmother—my Mama—was transitioning into the spirit world. She was the pillar of our family: a remarkable 4'11" woman who gave birth to and raised 17 children in a rural community in the Dominican Republic. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering love continue to shape who I am.

I dedicated myself to this work in her honor, carrying her legacy with me as I supported families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. That commitment took on an even deeper meaning when I welcomed my own son, Alonzo, in 2024. Becoming a mother transformed my understanding of this work, strengthening my belief that every family deserves compassionate, culturally rooted, and wholehearted support during one of life's most profound transitions.
