About Phases ("About Phases," "I," "me," or "my") is a doula practice owned and operated by Alondra Matamoros and based in Weymouth, Massachusetts. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect through aboutphases.com (the "Site"), how I use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information I collect

Information you give me. When you fill out the inquiry form, schedule a consultation, email, or text me, you may share:

Your name, email address, and phone number
The service you're interested in and your due date
How many children you have
Anything you choose to tell me about your pregnancy, birth preferences, family, or postpartum plans

Please share only what you're comfortable sharing. You never need to include medical details in the inquiry form; we can talk about those privately during your consultation.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site automatically collects some technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, approximate location (based on IP address), the pages you view, and how you arrived at the Site. This is collected through cookies and similar tools described in section 4.

2. How I use your information

I use the information I collect to:

Respond to your inquiry and schedule consultations
Provide and coordinate the doula services you sign up for
Communicate with you by email, phone, or text
Understand how visitors use the Site so I can improve it
Keep the Site secure and working properly
Meet legal or record-keeping obligations

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it for advertising.

3. How information is shared

I share information only as needed to run my practice:

Website platform. The Site is hosted on Squarespace, which processes form submissions and site data on my behalf. Squarespace's own privacy policy explains how it handles data.
Scheduling and communication tools. If you book a consultation, your name, email, and appointment details pass through my scheduling tool (Calendly). Email and text messages are handled by my email and phone providers.
With your permission. For example, if you ask me to talk with your care team or another provider.
When required by law, or to protect my safety or the safety of others.

I never sell or rent your information to anyone.

4. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Squarespace sets some cookies that are necessary for the Site to work, such as those that keep it secure and remember your cookie choices. With your consent, the Site also uses analytics cookies through Squarespace Analytics to understand things like how many people visit and which pages are most helpful.

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still work, though some features may not. Squarespace publishes a full, current list of the cookies it uses in its help center.

5. How long I keep information

I keep inquiry and client information only as long as I need it to respond to you, provide services, and meet legal, tax, or insurance record-keeping requirements. When I no longer need it, I delete it or securely dispose of it.

6. How I protect information

I use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure platforms and password-protected accounts. No website, email, or text message is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive health details through the inquiry form.

7. Your choices

You can ask me to see, correct, or delete the personal information I have about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Just email me at aboutphases@gmail.com. I'll respond as soon as I reasonably can.

8. Children's privacy

The Site is meant for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared information through the Site, contact me and I'll delete it.

9. Links to other websites

The Site may link to other websites, such as resources or my DoulaMatch profile. I'm not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
