These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of aboutphases.com (the "Site"), owned and operated by About Phases LLC ("About Phases," "I," "me," or "my"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. Not medical advice

I am a doula, not a doctor, midwife, nurse, or other licensed medical provider. I don't diagnose conditions, perform clinical tasks, or replace care from your medical team.

The information on this Site, including blog posts, is for general educational purposes only. It isn't medical advice and shouldn't replace guidance from your healthcare provider. Always talk with your provider about your health, your pregnancy, and your baby. If you think you or your baby are having a medical emergency, call 911 right away.

2. Information may change

Health recommendations change over time. I do my best to keep the Site accurate, but I can't guarantee that every page reflects the latest guidance, and I'm not responsible for information that has become outdated. For current health guidelines, please refer to the World Health Organization (WHO) and your healthcare provider.

3. Doula services and availability

About Phases is a one-person practice, so my availability is limited, and I can accept only a certain number of families each month. Submitting an inquiry or booking a consultation doesn't guarantee that I can take you on as a client. If I'm not available, I'm happy to suggest other options.

The Site describes my services in general terms. The specific services, fees, schedule, and policies for your family are set out in a separate written client agreement, which governs if it differs from anything on the Site.

4. No guaranteed outcomes

Every pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience is different. While I'll give you my full support, I can't guarantee any particular birth outcome, experience, or result.

5. Site content

All content on the Site, including text, photos, graphics, and the About Phases name and logo, belongs to About Phases or is used with permission. You're welcome to share links to the Site, but please don't copy, republish, or use its content for commercial purposes without my written permission.

6. Testimonials

Testimonials on the Site reflect the real experiences of past clients and are shared with their permission. Individual experiences vary, and testimonials don't guarantee that your experience will be the same.

7. Links to other websites

The Site may link to other websites and resources for your convenience. I don't control those sites and am not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.

8. Limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, About Phases is not liable for any loss or damage that results from your use of the Site or your reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited under the law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. When I do, I'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
